Elmore County Students in the Redland area welcomed the 2022-2023 school year by entering a new middle school Monday.

Chad Walls, Principal of Redland Middle School, said the first day could not have gone smoother and was grateful for all the efforts of his administration team and teachers who made it possible. This new middle school is the culmination of several years of effort to handle the great number of students that have moved into Elmore County.

The new school can accommodate 800 students and as of the first day already has 630. There are 27 homerooms for the students and seven new teachers entering the Elmore County system. Teachers completing the teaching staff are transfers from other local schools.

Grades 5-8 will enjoy state of the art touch screen classroom monitors which will greatly enhance the learning experience. Desks can be used individually or put together to create circular learning stations. The lunchroom will have café type seating and the new gym is a work of art.

A central courtyard, completely enclosed, well-secured and monitored, gives the student an extra bonus for activities.

Principal Walls Chad Walls has over 20 years in education and was the principal at Redland elementary prior to accepting this new position.
