The Union Springs Police Department is investigating a fatal shooting and is seeking the public’s help with the identification of the suspect.

On Saturday, May 4, 2024, at about 12:44 a.m. Union Springs Police responded to the 100 block of Baskin Street in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, an 18-year-old male was located and found to have sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased. UPDATE: Investigators say the victim was identified as Delvin Tarver of Auburn. Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in providing information in this ongoing investigation.
