Kix is a 1 year old, female gray tortoiseshell cat. She came to the shelter when a kind lady found her and brought her in. No one came to reclaim her. Kix has what we think is an old injury to her back left leg. We will be taking her to the vet to find out what exactly is going on. She does NOT have a problem getting around or using the litter box. Kix will be considered a special needs cat. We are going to require that she be an indoor cat only. She is the most affectionate cat we have been around and would make an excellent companion. Isn’t she beautiful? Since we are not doing adoptions at this time, she is available for foster until the Covid-19 epidemic is over. Our normal adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats. These fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices. Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative. The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Due to the COVID-19 virus situation, our staff will be available for phone calls only from 8:00 until 12:00 on Monday thru Saturday. We are not doing adoptions at this time. Many of the PAHS pets are currently in foster homes so anyone interested in adopting needs to call us during the hours listed to set up an appointment to meet the animal they are interested in meeting.
