MONTGOMERY, Ala., — Alabama Ag Credit welcomes Nick Hartley as the newly appointed Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2025. Hartley most recently served as Chief Lending Officer at AgGeorgia Farm Credit, where he was instrumental in driving financial growth and fostering strong relationships within the agricultural community.

As CEO, Hartley will lead the $1.4 billion rural lending cooperative, focusing on advancing its mission of supporting rural communities, enhancing member services, and sustaining the associations’ strong financial position.

“Nick Hartley is an outstanding leader with a proven track record in agricultural finance,” said Larry Gibson, Chairman of the Board of Directors. “His strategic vision and deep commitment to rural communities make him the perfect choice to lead Alabama Ag Credit into the future.”

Hartley holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia, an MBA from Mercer University, and is a graduate of the LSU School of Banking. His extensive experience and dedication to rural communities position him to guide Alabama Ag Credit toward continued growth and success.

This leadership transition marks an exciting new chapter for Alabama Ag Credit as the organization continues its mission of serving the needs of farmers, landowners, and rural homeowners throughout Alabama.
