By Amanda Pevey

Elmore/Autauga News

Millbrook’s Public Library began their Summer Reading Program has begun and it will continue through July 28th. It is not too late to get involved!

The theme for this year is called “All Together Now.” This is for children between the ages of four and twelve, reading independently. They must be library books, preferably on child’s reading level. Prizes will be awarded Monday through Friday, now through July 28th. Entries for daily prize drawing can be entered now until the end of the program.

For every chapter book read, one name entry can be placed in drawing bucket. For picture book readers, one entry can be placed in drawing bucket for every three books read. Once you have won a daily prize you are no longer eligible to win another. You are now reading for fun and a chance at the BIG prizes to be drawn from the bucket on last day of program, July 28th.

All during the summer, the library has asked that you keep them informed of the total number of books read. They will have a tally board to keep track. The library goal this summer is 2000 books read!
