Escaped Inmate from Staton Correctional Facility in Elmore County Recaptured             

Acacia Stallworth, of Montgomery, is charged with Permitting/Facilitating Escape 1st. She has bonded out of Elmore County Jail on that charge.

The Alabama Department of Corrections has recaptured Tandion Markeeice Stoudemire, 21, who escaped from the Staton Correctional Facility in Elmore County Thursday.

Also arrested in connection with allegedly helping him escape is a Montgomery woman identified as Acacia Stallworth, 24. She was booked into the Elmore County Jail at 7:37 a.m. Thursday. She has since been released on bond. She is charged with Permitting/Facilitating Escape 1st.

Stoudemire was originally jailed for attempted murder in Montgomery and was sentenced in April of 2022. He was serving a 23-year sentence.

US Marshalls assisted in the capture and surrendered without incident. He was located in Montgomery overnight.
