FROM THE PRATTVILLE POLICE DEPARTMENT
On 07/01/2020, The Prattville Police Department Investigation Unit assisted Millbrook Police Department on a burglary investigation. Investigators made contact with Brandon Cody Wainwright, 24, in the Prattville Square Shopping Center. A firearm was observed in the vehicle, placed near the passenger seat of the vehicle.
After a search of the vehicle was conducted, three other firearms were located. All located firearms were found to be reported as stolen out of Millbrook. Wainwright was then arrested on one count of Certain Person Forbidden to Possess a Pistol and one count of Receiving Stolen Property 2nd.
Wainwright was then transported to the Police Department where he was interviewed. Wainwright provided the location of additional stolen firearms. Officers then responded to the residence in north Prattville. With cooperation of the homeowner, Officers were able to locate four more stolen firearms.
Wainwright was placed in the Autauga County Metro Jail where he is currently being held on $10,000.00 bond. Millbrook Police Department still has an ongoing investigation with the burglary.
