Prattville Industrial Board Elects New Officers; Public Urged To Have Their Voices Heard in Comprehensive City Plan

Prattville has new leadership for its Industrial Development Board (IDB). Three slots for board officers were filled Wednesday and all three candidates received unanimous votes.

Kyle Glover (top photo) is the new chairman of the board. Glover is the owner of the Glover Media Group and has served on the Autauga County Commission. He also serves on the Autauga County Emergency Communications Board. He was previously the head football coach for Marbury High School and Autauga Academy.

Glover founded Glover Media Group in 2013 after managing a family- owned company since 2008. 

Lisa Miller is the new Vice Chairman. Miller is well-known throughout the city for her community

involvement. Miller was appointed this year as the Chairman of the Board for Main Street Alabama. She has also served as Secretary and Vice Chairman of the Main Street program.

Main Street Alabama focuses on bringing jobs. dollars and people back to historic Alabama

communities. Miller serves as the Manager of Communications and Economic Development for the Alabama Municipal Electric Authority. She has been a member of Prattville’s Industrial Development Board since 1997. She is past president of the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce and has served as Vice Chairman of Economic Development. She has also served as chairman of the Economic Development Committee.

Bo Evans

Bo Evans was elected as Secretary of the IDB. He is a native of Prattville and has been a Realtor since 1992. Prior to entering real estate, Evans worked for the AUM Center for Government as a Management Analyst. 

Evans has served on numerous boards and committees in Prattville and the River Region.  He currently serves on the board of the Autauga County Family Support Center as past president.  He is also the past President and a member of the board for Stars Fell on Alabama. Evans previously served on the Board of Directors for the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce and as President of the Prattville Civitan Club.

He was President of the Autauga County Heritage Association, and Treasurer for Prattville Lodge FA&M#89.

The new board officers will serve their terms through 2021.

The Board was also reminded that the City is hosting a meeting on June 23 to get input from

citizens as the planning team develops a comprehensive plan. Throughout the process, the

planning team will engage residents, property and business owners and other stakeholders through public forums, surveys and discussions about the issues that will be most critical to Prattville’s future economy and quality of life.

In other news, Chamber President Patty VanderWal told the IDB that the Chamber will begin advertising on Monday to fill the position of Economic Development Director. The position became available after the death of the previous Director, Woody Hydrick who died in March at age 51.
