PAHS featured pet this week is Flash, such a sweet cutie!

From: Ara Horn

Flash is a 1-year-old male Basset Hound mix who has already been neutered.  He came to PAHS as a stray from a neighborhood in Prattville and his owner never came looking for him.  Flash’s short coat is super shiny!  He is black with gorgeous brown markings.  Check out those front feet–there’s some Basset Hound in this guy for sure!  Flash currently weighs 31 pounds and he won’t get much bigger.  He actually appears bigger than he is in his pictures.  That’s why we left that blade of bahia grass in his first picture.  You can see he is no taller than bahia grass!  Since Flash is a stray we are still learning about him.  We know he would be great in a home with children and other dogs.  It just doesn’t get any cuter or happier than Flash.  He is going to make an amazing family dog.  Flash is available for adoption and waiting at PAHS for some lucky adopter!

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville.  We have returned to our regular hours of Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.  We will be closed for Memorial Day on May 25th.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.
