The Elmore County Child Nutrition Program has devised a plan that allows individuals from the community, under the age of 18, to receive meals free of charge.
Hundreds of cars came through the drive-through line at Coosada Elementary from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 20, as volunteers handed out packed lunches that included sandwiches, fruits, chips and milk.
If you missed chance to pick up food for your children, there’s still more opportunities to come. Other schools involved are Eclectic Middle School, Holtville High School, Redland Elementary, and Wetumpka Middle School.

The 11:00 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. pick up time applies to all schools.
