PRATTVILLE, AL — The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to welcome vendors and the community to CityFest this Saturday, July 19th, at the Fairgrounds at Mac Gray Park. As one of the area’s favorite summer events, CityFest will feature a full day of fun, food, entertainment, and local shopping.
To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all participants, especially amid high summer temperatures, the Chamber is working closely with the Prattville Fire Department and local volunteer fire personnel to provide heat relief measures throughout the event.
“We are committed to the health and safety of our vendors and guests,” said Patty VanderWal, President at the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce. “With the forecasted heat, we’ve taken extra steps to keep everyone cool and cared for.”
Cooling tents will be stationed throughout the park, and free bottled water will be available on-site, generously provided by Eleven86 Water. EMS crews from the Prattville Fire Department will be present all day in case of emergency medical needs.
Everyone is strongly encouraged to stay hydrated by drinking water ahead of arrival and throughout the day and wear light, breathable clothing.
The Chamber will continue to monitor weather and heat conditions throughout the event and will provide updates as needed.
CityFest promises a day full of excitement, and with these safety measures in place, the community can focus on enjoying all that the event has to offer.
