On March 31, 2025, at approximately 3 p.m., Millbrook Police attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Pineleaf Drive and Highway 14. The vehicle, a gray Chevrolet Malibu, failed to stop, continuing southbound on Governors Drive, accelerating in an attempt to elude the officer. The vehicle proceeded through the Broadmoor subdivision (travelling on multiple roads) to Sycamore Drive, continuing eastbound at a high rate of speed to Airport Road, turning northbound onto Airport Road. The pursuit terminated at a residence in the 5700 block of Airport Road, where the driver fled the vehicle and entered a residence at that location. Officers pursued the driver, later identified as Frank Jackson, a 21 – year-old Coosada resident, into the residence, where he was quickly taken into custody without incident.

Jackson was placed under arrest, being charged with Attempting to Elude, Reckless Endangerment, Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance, Unlawful Possession of Marijuana 2nd Degree, Unlawful Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Tampering with Physical Evidence and Receiving Stolen Property 2nd Degree. Jackson, who sustained a minor cut to his hand during his attempt to elude law enforcement officers, was evaluated and treated at the scene by Millbrook paramedics and transported to the Millbrook Police Department for processing. Jackson was later transported to the Elmore County Jail, where he remains pending warrants of arrest being obtained and served.

We are extremely happy that no one, other than the alleged offender, sustained any injuries during this incident. This occurred shortly after area schools released their students from classes. Had this occurred any earlier, there could have been much more traffic than we encountered during this brief pursuit. Our officers did an outstanding job.

Having spoken to our Street Crimes Unit officers that were involved in this case, it is my understanding that this is not our first encounter with this individual. The alleged offender has apparently attempted to elude our officers on more than one occasion and he appears to have been on parole or probation prior to today’s incident. In addition to being in possession of narcotics and drug paraphernalia, the alleged offender was in possession of a firearm that was confirmed reported as stolen in the City of Montgomery’s jurisdiction.

I am sick and tired of these offenders that think fleeing from law enforcement is a viable option. There is absolutely no excuse to endanger the lives of others in an attempt to avoid an arrest. If you do the deed, be prepared to accept the consequences. You don’t get bonus points or a mulligan if you make it home or wherever your desired destination may be. As happens in most cases, this alleged offender went to jail tired, having sustained an injury that he caused himself while fleeing from law enforcement, as well as causing his vehicle and residence damage in the process. His vehicle hit a tree ran into the residential trailer.  Had he just stopped when the officer activated his emergency equipment, he would have avoided several of the multiple charges for which he now must answer.

I can assure our citizens that we’ll be reaching out to our law enforcement partners and if this alleged offender has, in fact, violated any terms of his parole/probation, we will do everything that we can to assist in ensuring that it is revoked as well. People who conduct themselves in this manner have no place on our streets. Unfortunately for this young man, it appears that he’s about to face the consequences for his actions.
