Ivy Classical Academy pushes back first day of school; Meet the Teacher event is Aug. 3

From Ivy

Classical Academy

Dear Parents of Ivy Classical Academy Students,

The Ivy Classical Academy governing board and leadership team have chosen to move the first day of school for Ivy Classical Academy students to August 21.

All facility renovations are moving forward on schedule. Unfortunately, we recently received news that there has been a delay in the delivery of our air conditioning units. As a result, we have decided to move back our planned start date by two weeks.

We expect most founding families will enjoy having two additional weeks of summer break before the beginning of the school year. However, if your family is in need of childcare from August 7 through August 20 and unable to attain it elsewhere, please contact our front office at 334-595-5580, ext. 1. We can help you arrange childcare during that time.

With the rescheduling of the first day of school, we will also be rescheduling our planned PSO meeting and open houses.

We will be hosting a “Meet the Teacher” and “Playdate” event at 17 Springs on August 3rd. See below for the times by grade level for your child to meet their teacher and classmates. Please RSVP at https://secure.qgiv.com/for/parentorientation/event/august-5th/

We will also be hosting a “Parent Information and Orientation Evening” at Centerpoint Fellowship Church on Monday, August 5 at 6pm. Please RSVP here if you plan to attend. The event will be filmed and shared on Ivy Classical Academy’s social media for those unable to attend.

If you have any questions, please contact us via phone at 334-595-5580 or email at [email protected].
