Two killed in Single-Vehicle Crash on I-65 in Autauga County

MONTGOMERY POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 6:40 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 4, has claimed the lives of two men from Birmingham. Miguel A. Hernandez-Lopez, 24, the driver, and Evangalist A. Alfredo, 28, the passenger, were both fatally injured when the 2002 Toyota Tundra they were traveling in left the roadway and struck a tree. Hernandez-Lopez and Alfredo were both pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Interstate 65 near the 184 mile marker, approximately three miles north of Prattville, in Autauga County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
