Sunflower is the PAHS Pet of the Week
From Barbara Sanford, PAHS
Sunflower is an 8-month-old female Beagle mix who must be spayed before she is adopted. She was found as a stray and her owner never reclaimed her.
Sunflower is just a beautiful young dog! She is very light tan (some say blonde) with white markings. Sunflower only weighs 24 pounds so she is a medium sized dog. She is happy go lucky and has the sweetest personality. Sunflower is active but very well behaved. She loves everybody–volunteers, staff, children, and other dogs. We think Sunflower would make an excellent family dog due to her loving personality. If you look at her pictures, it appears she actually smiles!
Our adoption fee is $120.00 for dogs and $50.00 for cats. This fee covers a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.
Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.
The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville. Our regular hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm. We are closed the last Thursday of the month for staff training
Adoptions are currently by appointment only.
