The 3rd Annual Autauga County Sheriff’s Professional Cowboy Association (PCA) Rodeo is set for Feb. 27-28, 2026, at the RH Kirkpatrick Agriculture Pavilion, with proceeds funding equipment for the sheriff’s office and community events.

“The goal was to create something fun for our deputies and for the public while also raising funds for specialized training equipment and other needs not covered in our annual budget, said Autauga County Sheriff Mark Harrell. “But at the end of the day, it’s really all about giving back to the community.”

Each night kicks off with mutton busting, priced at $20 per ride. Helmets are required, the weight limit is 60 pounds, and participation is capped at 25 riders per night. Parents are encouraged to arrive early to register their riders. Other activities include a Kid’s Zone sponsored by Jiffy Lube and a Rodeo Fan Zone sponsored by Guardian Credit Union.

“The support from businesses across the county has been incredible,” said Harrell. “Their sponsorships make this event possible and give our community a chance to connect with our deputies in a meaningful way while recognizing the men and women who serve this community every day.”

The rodeo will feature stock provided by 3R Rodeo Company, with legendary announcer Jerry Byrd calling the action. Fan-favorite Dave “Showtime” Meyers will bring the laughs, while the specialty act will feature Tim “Wild Thang” Lepard and Team Ghost Riders.

Scheduled events include bareback riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping, saddle bronc riding, team roping, breakaway roping, barrel racing, and bull riding.

“This is one of those events where everyone can just relax, have fun, and enjoy the night together,” said Harrell. “It’s about good food, good people, and building positive connections with the community.”
