A new lounge is coming to Millbrook and will be located in the old Mulligan’s Irish Pub building in the Wisteria Place shopping center. The same owners are also opening a separate restaurant called Waffle and Company, which will be located in the former location of Front Porch Grill on Deatsville Highway.
As for the lounge, Cask and Vine LLC, the business will seat around 60 people and will feature smoked bourbons, as well as wine and cigars. They will also have light appetizers, such as charcuterie boards, according to the owners, Lane and Ashley Minor.
The business is projected to be operational within the next two months. Lane Minor said they plan to draw a mature crowd to the establishment and will not be a late-night atmosphere, closing tentatively by around 9:30 p.m. each night.
The other venture is Waffle and Company and will be a breakfast eatery. It is expected to be open within the next two months as well. Stay tuned for more information on both of these businesses in future articles.
The Minor’s are also owners of The Social at Lake Martin business, which has seen great success.
Mayor Kelley said the owner is very excited about bringing these new businesses to Millbrook. “We certainly welcome them, and support them,” Kelley said.
At Tuesday’s meeting, the council members held a public hearing relating to the liquor license for Cask and Vine, and unanimously approved the business moving forward.
Lane Minor said he plans to approach the council at a later date concerning Waffle and Company obtaining a liquor license for that facility as well.
