FROM THE CENTRAL ALABAMA AGING CONSORTIUM

The Ombudsman Program at Central Alabama Aging Consortium holds its annual Elder Justice Fraud and Caregiver Conference on Wednesday, September 27.

The event will be held from 9 am to 3 pm at the Hilton Garden Inn at Ease Chase at 7665 East Chase Parkway, Montgomery, Alabama 36117.  Over 1100 Alabama seniors report they have been victims of elder fraud, with losses of 17 million dollars a year.  Nationwide 10% of seniors report being the victims of some sort of fraud each year.
