On Saturday, the Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Three Rivers Chapter hosted their annual Blue Santa Ride event. Over 200 motorcycles participated this year. This is the sixth year they have partnered with the Millbrook Police Department to help support the department’s Operation Blue Santa program. This program helps to provide Christmas presents for area children that otherwise may go without.
The ride started at the Harley-Davidson of Montgomery dealership in Montgomery and ended at the Punishers LEMC Three Rivers Chapter Clubhouse in Elmore. Two bands rocked the stage all night with Parris and Jeff & The Johnsons. During the evening the Punishers gave out door prizes, raffle items, had a 50/50, an auction and the Blue Santa custom motorcycle giveaway. Food trucks were also on site which included the Seared Beard and Front Porch Grill.
Harley Davidson of Montgomery was one of the major sponsors of the event that donated a beautiful motorcycle to be raffled off for the Blue Santa Ride event. WVC Motorcycle Garage in Prattville did a custom renovation of the bike. This is the third year the Punishers LEMC has raffled off a bike for the event.
Just in the past two years alone, the Punishers LEMC Three Rivers Chapter has helped raised over $23,000 for the Operation Blue Santa program.
Chief P.K. Johnson with the Millbrook Police Department stated, “I want to give a huge shout out and Thank You to the Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Three Rivers Chapter for all of their hard work in putting on this event.”
He continued, “I also want to thank all the sponsors and people in the Millbrook community, who donated money, talents and time towards helping the men and women of the Millbrook Police Department make sure that area children that may not otherwise receive a gift at Christmas time, has something underneath the tree. This is what this is all about. Thank you to everyone involved.”
