The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce hosts a morning brew monthly at different businesses or organizations in the community. This month’s event was held at Stanhope Elmore High School this morning and co-hosted by PH&J Architects.

With more than 50 in attendance it was a successful event held in the new cafeteria at the school.

Among those in attendance were local business professionals, board members, as well as local and state political representatives.

Door prizes were given to those that dropped business cards in the bowl at the door.

Speakers included Director of MACC Brenda Dennis, Millbrook Mayor Al Kelley, Superintendent of Education Richard Dennis and Owner of PH&J Hal Gandy.

Superintendent Dennis spoke on the importance of community support and how helping other communities also benefits ours. SEHS school nutrition staff cooks lunch daily for two other schools in Montgomery and the profits from that are utilized for Elmore County schools.

Among attendees was Senator Clyde Chambliss. He said, “Glad to be here with other community leaders and it’s great to see what Elmore County is doing to move the community forward. The nutrition program they’ve implemented is a wonderful attribute to this county and to others.”

Chairman for the Board of Education Michael Morgan said “The Board of Education is happy to partner with the chamber and PH&J. We appreciate any opportunity we have to get the public involved so they can see the things happening in our schools and the growth our community is experiencing.”

The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce morning brew is an excellent opportunity for local businesses and organizations to not only support the local chamber, but to represent their business to other community members and business officials.
