Derek Holley, of Millbrook, Arrested for Sexual Assault, Battery of Person Under 18

A Millbrook man stopped for a traffic violation by Millbrook Officers was detained when it was learned a warrant for his arrest had been issued by Bay County Sheriff’s Office.

The warrant was for sexual assault, sexual battery under Florida statute 794.011 4a.

It reads, “A person 18 years of age or older who commits sexual battery upon a person 12 years of age or older but younger than 18 years of age without that person’s consent, under any of the circumstances listed in paragraph (e), commits a felony of the first degree, punishable by a term of years not exceeding life or as provided in s. 775.082, s. 775.083, s. 775.084, or s. 794.0115.”

Derek Wayne Holley, of Millbrook, was booked into the Elmore County Jail on a hold from Bay County Sheriff’s Office in Florida on March 22. On Wednesday, April 5, custody was turned over to Bay County Deputies. Holley was released from the Elmore County Jail and placed in the custody of Bay Count deputies. He has now been booked into a facility in Florida. There is currently no bond listed.
