Millbrook’s Public Library will be having their Summer Reading Program starting on May 16th through  July 29th. The theme for this year is called “Oceans of Possibilities.” This is for children ages four through twelve, reading independently. They must be library books and preferably on the child’s reading level. Entries for daily prize drawing can be entered from May 17th onward. Prizes will be awarded daily, Monday through Friday, beginning on May 23rd through July 28th.

For every chapter book read, one name entry can be placed in the drawing bucket. For picture book readers, one entry can be placed into the drawing bucket for every three books read. Once you have won a daily prize, you are no longer eligible to win another. After winning a daily prize, you are now entering in for fun, and a chance to win one of the many BIG prizes to be drawn from the bucket on the last day of the program, July 29th.

All during the Summer, please let the library know the total number of books your child has read. They will have a tally board to keep track on with the number of books read. The library’s goal is 2000 books read by the end of Summer.

Also, during the Summertime, on every Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. starting on May 25th, the library will have Movie days. Bring your child to the library, and enjoy watching a family movie together.
