ECLECTIC, ALABAMA – With warm weather heralding in the Easter holiday, Eclectic merchants are teaming up to have the ultimate Easter Egg Hunt! With many folks already responding to the advertisement online, Saturday, April 9th, between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., looks like a day for fun, frolic and family fun all around.

Offering a twist on the hunt for eggs in yards and fields, this year join Eclectic store owners by visiting each shop with your basket in hand.  Kids will find candy, plastic eggs with goodies inside and a barrel of fun. Mom and Dad have chances to sign up for gift baskets in some stores, while enjoying discounts and sales all over town.

The brainchild of Carmen Tennant Winslett, the idea rapidly spread from business to business, greeted by smiles and ideas for making it a success.  Most people know Carmen as the leader and coordinator of events like the Cotton Festival. With her energy and determination, success becomes inevitable when Carmen is at the wheel.

Not to be outdone, Lacie Swaney and Marie Rippy from Original Grace Boutique, are always up for a challenge. Our new and relatively new merchants showed the stuff they are made of, when they immediately pulled together ways to welcome visitors to their establishments and make certain the day is fun for all ages.

Of course, Gina Sanders from the Cornerstone Coffee Company, has the right brew for her regulars and soon makes regulars out of the occasional first-timer. Meanwhile, keeping the folks well-dressed are my favorite places such as Original Grace Boutique, Expect Envy, Dash of Fashion consignment, Eclectic Collection, the Leopard Fox, and the Lotus Collection. Eclectic Collection adds beauty treatments, such as a tanning salon, lovely lash extension and much more.

Abby Brown of the Lotus Collection brings yoga fashion to the table for those who visit Cammy Day at the Harmony Yoga & Wellness Studio. Yoga assists with relaxation as well as toning the body head to toe.  To keep the body inside healthy, try a delicious drink at Eclectic Nutrition.

Need a little cheer inside the home? Check out Fanny’s Flower Shop.  Ms. Fanny and her assistants make pretty blossoms into gorgeous arrangements. No need to search further to add color and fun to any room in the house. To ensure a beautiful home, visit expert designers at Bless Your Heart and The Wright Design.

For happy memories, visit Carmen Winslett at the photo booth, where the Easter Bunny awaits and samples from Eclectic Sugar and Spice Bakery tempts the taste buds.

This reporter fully intends to visit each merchant. Having new shops in town is always exciting. It’s time to check them out, and let the readers know how our small town is expanding with the best of everything.
