Thrift Store Manager
JOB DESCRIPTION
DEFINITION: The Thrift Store Manager has specific duties listed below.
SUPERVISION: The Thrift Store Manager reports to the Pantry Director and the Board President.
The Board of Directors will complete an annual job performance review/evaluation
and make any necessary adjustments to responsibilities and salary based on performance.
PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Clean and maintain display areas
- Complete Tax Donation Forms upon request for donations received
- Price and Display items to ensure shelves stay stocked and orderly
- Schedule Volunteers and maintain Calendar to ensure hours of operation are covered
- Schedule Donation Pick Ups on Calendar
- Assist with unloading donations
- Oversee Volunteers and provide instruction for job tasks to be performed
- Maintain Attendance Record of Hours worked for each pay period
- Oversee the daily operation of the Thrift Store
Skills Required
- Strong people skills (communication, accountability, collaboration)
- Basic knowledge of, or trainable in, operation of Cash Register and Computer
- Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
- Must be able to pick up at least 25 pounds
Hours and Compensation
- Average of 30 – 35 hours per week, never to exceed 35 hours in any given week
- Compensation is $ 10 per hour to be paid on the 1st and 15th of each month
