Thrift Store Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

DEFINITION:           The Thrift Store Manager has specific duties listed below.

SUPERVISION:          The Thrift Store Manager reports to the Pantry Director and the Board President.  

          The Board of Directors will complete an annual job performance review/evaluation

          and make any necessary adjustments to responsibilities and salary based on performance.  

PRINCIPAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Clean and maintain display areas
  • Complete Tax Donation Forms upon request for donations received 
  • Price and Display items to ensure shelves stay stocked and orderly
  • Schedule Volunteers and maintain Calendar to ensure hours of operation are covered
  • Schedule Donation Pick Ups on Calendar
  • Assist with unloading donations
  • Oversee Volunteers and provide instruction for job tasks to be performed
  • Maintain Attendance Record of Hours worked for each pay period
  • Oversee the daily operation of the Thrift Store

Skills Required

  • Strong people skills (communication, accountability, collaboration)
  • Basic knowledge of, or trainable in, operation of Cash Register and Computer
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
  • Must be able to pick up at least 25 pounds

Hours and Compensation

  • Average of 30 – 35 hours per week, never to exceed 35 hours in any given week
  • Compensation is $ 10 per hour to be paid on the 1st and 15th of each month
