On 02/04/2022 around 1325hrs an unknown black male subjected entered Legacy Finance in the 1700 block of East Main Street in Prattville. The male suspect produced a firearm and demanded cash from the institute. The employees complied and provide $2,500.00 in cash to the suspect. The suspect fled the scene in a silver passenger car, prior to officers’ arrival. Patrol Officers and Investigators responded to the scene for processing. Investigators collected video of the offense and checked for other evidence in the area. No one was injured during the Robbery. Snapshots of the video was released to crime stoppers to identify the suspect.
On 02/08/2022 around 0840hrs, the suspect turned himself into the Prattville Police Department. The suspect was identified at Devin Jones. The suspect was interviewed and confessed to the offense. Jones also turned over $2,000.00 cash remaining from the Robbery. Jones’ vehicle was searched and the firearm used in the Robbery was recovered. A warrant was obtained for Robbery 1st. Jones was transported to the Autauga County Metro Jail and held pending $20,000.00 bond.
