Victims Identified from Friday Crash in Autauga County on Hwy. 14

MONTGOMERY POST – A three-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 2:42 p.m. Friday, May 14, has claimed the lives of two women, one of Prattville and the other of Autaugaville. Tommy Hagans, 47, of Prattville was driving a 2003 Nissan Xterra, which crossed over and struck a 2015 Nissan Versa driven by Jeri Lashay Savage, 20, of Mobile. After striking Savage’s car, Hagans then struck a 2013 Kia Soul driven by Katherine Marshall, 49, of Prattville.

As a result of the collision with Marshall’s car, both front-seats passengers were fatally injured. Angela Renea Hagans, 47, of Prattville was the front-seat passenger in the Xterra, and Sara Smedley, 86, of Autaugaville, was the front-seat passenger, in the Versa. Both women were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The crash occurred on Alabama 14 at the 144 mile marker, approximately four miles west of Prattville, in Autauga County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
