Richard Dennis: Elmore County Back to ‘Green’ Health Status; Continue Safety Guidelines

FROM ELMORE COUNTY SCHOOL SUPT. RICHARD DENNIS

Call Out for January 22, 2021

This is Richard Dennis, Superintendent of Elmore County Public Schools.

As we complete our third week in January, 9 employees and 23 students reported testing positive for COVID-19. Elmore County is currently back to a GREEN health status on the ADPH Dashboard, so please continue to follow health guidelines and be safe.

All Elmore County high schools are preparing for required state testing scheduled for February and March.  Due to testing requirements and health guidelines, grades not testing at the traditional high schools will be transitioned to virtual platforms on February 9th and March 9th:

  • On February 9th, the Pre-ACT will be administered to all 10th grade students on their campuses. The 9th, 11th, and 12th graders will observe an e-learning day and be virtual.
  • On March 9th, the ACT will be administered to all 11th grade students on their campuses. The 9th, 10th, and 12th graders will observe an e-learning day and be virtual.

Each high school will communicate more specific information the week prior to these two dates.

If you wish to get call outs and other system-wide communications texted to you through Remind, visit the Elmore County Public Schools website and follow the registration process.

Thank you for your support and have a great weekend!
