The Wetumpka Police Department has officially notified CrimeStoppers of the arrest of a suspect wanted for a theft that occurred at a local retail store.

Investigators reported that on June 29, 2020, at approximately 3:20 p.m., an unknown male, now identified as Matthew Aaron Tucker, stole a vacuum cleaner and a food processor from the Wetumpka Walmart. 

Investigators advise that Wetumpka resident Matthew Aaron Tucker voluntarily turned himself over to Wetumpka Police Investigators on July 2, 2020 after seeing himself on a CrimeStoppers segment. Tucker was bonded out shortly after the warrant was served. He is no longer wanted by law enforcement. No other details were released.
