Prattville, Wetumpka Preparing for Fireworks to Celebrate Independence Day

Beautiful colors will light up the skies over Autauga and Elmore counties soon, so make your plans now!

JULY 3 – First off will be the City of Wetumpka. Gather at Gold Star Park July 3 at 8:30 p.m. for a celebration and show. The city is encouraging people to follow CDC guidelines for social distancing, and to wear masks for protection.

JULY 4 – The City of Prattville is changing things up a bit this year with their Fourth of July Fireworks. Rather than the traditional gathering at Stanley-Jensen Stadium, the show will be moved to the Homeplace Clock Tower off Hwy. 82 on Saturday, July 4, beginning at dark. Those wanting a good show can access parking lots in the area and watch from the comfort of their vehicle if so inclined. The view should be excellent around most of the city.

This one-time alternative location will allow for viewing from miles around while maintaining proper social distancing. Parking will be available in the nearby parking lots, and people from throughout the River Region will be able to enjoy this annual Independence Day celebration.
