PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet Libby! Irish Setter Mix has been Spayed; Great for Home With Children and Only Dog

PAHS PET OF THE WEEK: LIBBY!

Libby is a 3-year-old female Retriever/Irish Setter mix who has already been spayed.  She came to PAHS as an owner surrender because she was not getting along with the family’s other pets.  Libby has a gorgeous coat of a diva; it is red with white markings and medium length.  She weighs 55 pounds so she is considered to be a medium sized dog.  This magnificent girl is friendly and sweet.  Libby would be fine in a home with children.  She is quite well behaved, leash trained, and house trained.  Her owners said she was not getting along with any other pets in their home and recommended she be an only dog.  However, Libby has gotten along fine with other dogs at PAHS.  Libby is just an absolutely  beautiful girl who will be a wonderful addition as a family member for some lucky adopter.  ****Please note that when introducing a new dog into a home with children and other pets adult supervision is strongly recommended until the new dog settles in with the family.****

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and is normally open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.  We will be closed for Christmas on December 24th and 25th.  Also, the following day, the 26th we will be closed for our monthly staff training.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

Thank you for your help in finding homes for these precious pets.

Sincerely, Ara Horn
