It is with a heavy heart that I share the news, that after three years, the Miss Tri County Organization will cease to exist on June 8, 2020.
Due to unforeseen events, the group is no longer able to sustain itself to provide scholarship opportunities to the young women of Alabama. As well, the group does not agree with the direction of the National Board, and therefore will disband once this year’s Miss Alabama takes place in June.
We have two representatives, Miss Tri County’s Outstanding Teen – Deseray Stone, and Miss Tri County – Sammy Rizzuto, who are representing our area currently and who we are giving the utmost support to. We are so proud of their accomplishments, and we will share those with you as soon as possible. These young women, and others that competed in Miss Tri County this past August, earned titles and scholarships that we would still like to honor. This is where we need your help.
The organization had planned to host an event to raise the funds needed, however, due to the circumstances above, we were unable. The organization needs to fulfill about $5000.00 worth of earnings to close out our program. If there is any way possible that you or your business could help, we would be forever grateful. Your contribution is tax deductible as a promotional expense, because we are a 501 (c) 4 organization. We will also share your donation on our social media, and our winners will happily work any events you may need of them.
