Some say empowerment is the key to success and empowered women, empower women. The Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce will be hosting their first ever PowHER Women in Networking Conference next month, on August 9th.

“This event will inspire businesswomen by showcasing the success of local professionals and offering practical, hands-on sessions to enhance their personal and professional lives. It’s an opportunity to gain valuable insights, network, and grow in a supportive and engaging environment,” Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce marketing and communications director, Brooke Glover said.

This conference will feature speakers of local influential businesswomen such as Brittney Malone from The Southern Refinery, Kasey Hope from P’ZAZZ Art Studio, and Stacey Little from Southern Bite.

“We are thrilled to present three dynamic speakers at this event, each with ample time to share their insights. By hosting a conference, we can extend each speaker’s session, enabling them to dive deeper into their topics and provide hands-on activities for the audience to enjoy and benefit from,” Glover said.

The speakers were selected based on their inspiring journey and their careful and calculated business decisions as women professionals in the area that have achieved success, Glover confirmed.

Glover also confirmed that there will be a hands-on session and other activities such as a fashion show demonstrating how to create a versatile wardrobe for the workplace, an inclusive art project in one session, as well as helpful cooking tips for the busy businesswoman lifestyle, and much more.

“We aimed to revitalize our Women in Networking initiative and hosting a women’s conference seemed like the perfect choice for our members and the women in our community. This event offers women the opportunity to network, grow professionally, and enjoy themselves,” Glover said.

Tickets are $25, which includes lunch, and you do not have to be a Chamber member to attend. The conference will be held at the Marrott Legends in Prattville from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Tickets are available for purchase on the Chamber’s website, at prattvillechamber.com.

If a business wishes to purchase tickets for multiple people, the Chamber has asked that they are purchased by phone for convenience at 334-365-7392.

“We offer a variety of events for all our members, but we value our Women in Networking gatherings. These events provide a unique opportunity for businesswomen in the community to come together, support each other, and foster mutual encouragement,” Glover said.
