Millbrook Police respond to Barricaded Subject threatening Self-Harm

ELMORE/AUTAUGA NEWS

The Millbrook Police Department was called this afternoon around 6:30 p.m. to Red Oak Drive in Millbrook for a report of a suicidal person who had barricaded themselves on a property and was threatening to do bodily harm.

Officers and medics were successful in getting the person to turn over a gun, and submit to medical and other help.

There were no injuries associated with the incident, and officers have cleared the scene.

“Fortunately, this person realized they needed help, and we are very glad of this positive outcome,” Chief P.K. Johnson told the EAN.
