PAHS Pet of the Week: Meet David! Basset Hound Mix is Adorable and Gets Along with Other Dogs, Children

David was chosen to be our featured pet this week.  We can’t believe that he is still looking for a new home.

We will not have a closure date for staff training this month and our adoption fees are back to the normal amount.

David is an 1-year-old male Basset Hound mix who must be neutered before he is adopted.  He was found out in the county as a stray and his owner never came to reclaim him.  David is adorable!  His body is mostly brown; he has white markings; and he has black highlights spread over his brown coat!  This guy is so handsome; and of course he has those cute, short, little Basset Hound legs.  David weighs 30 pounds so he is a wonderful size to fit in just about anywhere!  He is a popular guy who gets along well with children and other dogs.  David is friendly, sweet, and just too precious for words!  Come out and meet David ASAP if you want him to be your new best friend!

Our adoption fee for dogs is $120.00 and is $50.00 for cats.  Our adoption fees cover a microchip, microchip registration, discounted spay/neuter, deworming, vaccinations (as age and law requires), and a courtesy vet exam at participating offices.  Unless otherwise indicated under “special needs” our dogs have screened heart worm negative.  The shelter is located at 1009 Reuben Road in Prattville and is open Monday through Saturday from 11 am until 4 pm.  For more information about our shelter, please call 358-2882, find us on Facebook at Prattville/Autauga Humane Society, email autaugahumane@yahoo.com., or visit our website at www.prattvilleautaugahumane.org.

Your help for finding homes for the pets is appreciated very much.

Sincerely,

Ara Horn
