TOP PHOTO: The Pilot Club of Prattville is ready to donate sensory bags to the Prattville Fire & Rescue Department. These bags will be presented to the Department on Tuesday, September 21, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. at Fire Station #4. Pilots, Co-pilots, members of the PI Alabama District DAC have been invited to attend.
The Pilot Club of Prattville received a grant from the Pilot International Founders Fund. Grant funds have been used to purchase items for sensory bags that will be used by the Prattville Fire & Rescue Department when they encounter a client in need. These bags are to be kept on board the Advance Life Saving Transport Vehicles.
Members of the Pilot Club of Prattville will present these Sensory Bags to City of Prattville’s Fire Department on Tuesday, September 21 at 6 p.m. at Fire Station Number 4. Fire Station #4 is located at 820 Old Ridge Road, North in Prattville. Members of local media outlets are invited to cover this presentation.
Pilot International’s mission is to influence positive change in communities throughout the world. To do this we come together in friendship and service, focusing on encouraging brain safety and health, and supporting those who care for others.
Because of this grant, members of the Pilot Club of Prattville will be able to serve their community by providing sensory bags to the ALS Fleet operated by the Prattville Fire Department. These sensory bags will be to aid constituents with autism spectrum disorders and other sensory disorders deal with the stress and anxiety that accompanies emergency and crisis situations.

The club meets the second Saturday of each month at 9 a.m. for a breakfast meeting that includes program and business sessions.
