Bright days are ahead, Wetumpka!
As I sit here and reflect on the last 36 days of my role as the new Director of Main Street Wetumpka, all I can think about is how thankful I am. Thankful for the community who has welcomed me with open arms. Thankful to our Board of Directors for their continuous support. Thankful for our community leaders, thankful for our members, thankful for our volunteers, our donors, our sponsors, and our staff.
While I familiarize myself with the many pieces of the Downtown Wetumpka puzzle, I am impressed by the dedication of our local businesses, nonprofit organizations, government entities, and community members. The amount of work put in every day to make Wetumpka, Alabama a wonderful place to live, work, and play is inspiring.
I am incredibly humbled and honored to have the opportunity to advance the Main Street Wetumpka mission to bring economic vitality to downtown Wetumpka. By utilizing the proven Main Street Four-Point Approach of organization, promotion, design, and economic vitality, I am confident that together as a community we will continue on the path to reaching our full potential. I welcome you to join along for what I know will be a very engaging and fulfilling ride.
As always, please remember to support your local businesses. With the closure of Company Street, our downtown businesses are feeling the impact of the roadwork. These businesses love what they do and they play an important role in supporting our economy and community as a whole. #shopsmall #wecantogether
Sincerely,
Haley N. Greene
