WETUMPKA, Ala. – Main Street Wetumpka is excited to announce, “10 Years Under the Lights,” a special community celebration commemorating a decade of downtown revitalization. The event will bring the community together beneath the glow of downtown’s iconic bistro lights on Sunday, September 27, 2026, to celebrate ten years of progress, partnerships, and the people who have helped transform downtown Wetumpka into one of Alabama’s most beloved small-town destinations.
Attendees can look forward to an unforgettable evening featuring a community dinner on Company Street, live entertainment, local flavor, and a celebration of the businesses, volunteers, partners, and supporters who have made the last decade possible. Additional event details, including ticket information, will be released in the coming weeks.
“Ten years ago, Main Street Wetumpka was founded with a vision of breathing new life into our historic downtown,” said Haley N. Greene, Executive Director of Main Street Wetumpka. “Today, we have so much to celebrate. This evening will honor the incredible journey we’ve shared as a community while looking ahead to an even brighter future.”
Since Main Street Wetumpka’s inception, downtown has experienced remarkable revitalization through millions of dollars in public and private investment, the opening of dozens of new businesses, historic preservation projects, public art installations, beautification efforts, and community events that have welcomed thousands of residents and visitors to Wetumpka.
Proceeds from “10 Years Under the Lights” will help support Main Street Wetumpka’s ongoing efforts to preserve, promote, and revitalize Historic Downtown Wetumpka, ensuring the organization can continue investing in the downtown district for years to come.
