From: Millbrook Police Department
Millbrook, Alabama
The Millbrook Police Department is proud to announce the initiation of Operation Blue Santa for the year 2025.
The Millbrook Police Department and its members are proud to support our community and its children through various programs, including Blue Santa, Cops N Kids, and the Junior Police Academy, among others. Operation Blue Santa aims to supply toys to children in need, ensuring that those who may otherwise go without presents during the Christmas season are remembered.
Applications for assistance will be made available beginning Tuesday, November 4, 2025. This program serves families in the Millbrook area (encompassing Elmore and Autauga Counties) who may be experiencing financial hardship, loss of employment, or other challenges that inhibit their ability to provide for their children during the holidays.
Interested families can obtain applications at the Millbrook Police Headquarters, located at 3950 Grandview Road. The application submission deadline is Friday, December 5, 2025, at 5:00 PM. A Christmas celebration will take place at the Millbrook Municipal Courthouse, located at 3900 Grandview Road (adjacent to the Police Department), on Saturday, December 20, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During this event, Blue Santa will make an appearance, accompanied by refreshments including milk, cookies, snacks for the children. Parents are encouraged to take photographs with Blue Santa, and parents should make arrangements to collect their gifts at this event.
The Millbrook Police Department is also accepting donations. If you, your organization, or your place of worship would like to contribute, you may drop off items at designated donation boxes located at the Millbrook Police Department, Front Porch Grill, or the American Legion Post 133 on Main Street in Millbrook.
This year we will be adding a Winter Carnival for the event. There will be bounce houses for the kids, along with hot dogs and hamburgers provided by the Three Rivers chapter of Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club.
The Millbrook Police Department extends its gratitude to the Three Rivers chapter of the Punishers Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club for their fundraising efforts over the past eight years. The club has raised significant funds through their efforts along with their community partners and numerous sponsors for their annual Blue Santa ride, conducted in September of each year. Their contributions are a major source of funding for our Blue Santa and Cops N Kids events. The PLEMC is a club of local law enforcement and first responders and lives up to its motto “In Service to Others”. Their funding will greatly assist in brightening the holiday season for many children in our area.
As our Mayor, Al Kelley, often says, “Anytime you start thanking people, inevitably somebody will be left out, despite your best intentions” That said, I’d like to thank our folks that sponsored the recent 2025 Blue Santa charity ride, which is organized and hosted each year by our very own Punishers Three Rivers Chapter Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club, which helps fund Operation Blue Santa and our other department community outreach efforts, such as Cops and Kids.
