The Montgomery Police Department continues to investigate the May 12, 2024, shooting that left one victim dead early on Mother’s Day. Police continue to request the public’s help and are asking anyone with details or information to please come forward.
Investigators say on Sunday, May 12, 2024, at approximately 1:14 a.m., police and medics responded to the 1100 block of Oak Street, Montgomery, AL, in reference to a subject shot. Police located the victim who sustained a life-threatening gunshot wound. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment and was later pronounced deceased on May 18, 2024.
Police say the victim was identified as Jeffrey Williams, 34, of Montgomery.
The circumstances surrounding this violent fatal shooting remain under investigation and no other details are available for release at this time. Investigators and family ask anyone who may have seen something or know something to please come forward.
