The Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce along with the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce hosted a Young Professionals event at the Montgomery Biscuits Saturday evening.

A night of mingling, sharing information and networking all while watching America’s favorite game. The Montgomery Biscuits played a double header shutting out the Chattanooga Lookouts Saturday, winning both games 4-0 and 5-4.

Kyle Stewart, a Millbrook Chamber Ambassador and a mortgage loan officer for MAX Credit Union has spearheaded the Young Professionals Mixers for the chamber. Stewart stated that he hopes these events continue to grow and become more of a regular event in the area.

“We want to be involved in as many other organizations as possible and it’s a big thing in Millbrook and Prattville because that’s where we feel a lot of young people live. They’re the future of the River Region and seeing the influx of young professionals, young families, we want to give them a chance to network and spend time together, get to know each other, and socialize. It’s a really important area for both the Chamber and for MAX,” Stewart said.

The event was made possible by numerous sponsors that helped with the planning and operations of putting the evening together, as well as two very prominent Chamber’s in the River Region Community coming together.

MAX Credit Union, PEST PRO Services and Jackson and Scott, LLC were the sponsors of the event that secured the Locomotive Loft at the Montgomery Riverwalk Stadium.

“People are coming to our region, and they’re not bothered by the boundaries our communities have set. Young people want to do everything and enjoy it. We’re all about partnering with our fellow Chambers and doing anything we can to facilitate the great relationship we already have. We made our ambassadors and our young professionals a priority, because these are the leaders of tomorrow. We need them to get to know each other and start doing business with each other,” Millbrook Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Brenda Dennis said.

The event was open to anyone that qualified as a young professional within the area. Members from the City of Montgomery, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, local barbers, journalists, Chick-Fil-A management and many other professions were all together for a night of connection under the bright lights of Riverwalk Stadium.

“As a Chamber we feel that it is important to have regionalism in our area and partnering with Millbrook Chamber accomplishes that. This event gives the Young Professionals an opportunity to network with others in the area as well as foster business relationships. I think this gives everyone the opportunity to be in a fun exciting atmosphere and a biscuits baseball game is a great place to do that. The stadium is a river region staple that brings people together,” President of the Prattville Area Chamber of Commerce Patty VanderWal said.
