Montgomery Man killed in Bullock County single-vehicle crash

OPELIKA POST – A single-vehicle crash that occurred at approximately 12:10 p.m. Friday, April 19, has claimed the life of a Montgomery man. Jockey J. Howard, 36, was fatally injured when the 2007 Chevrolet Avalanche, he was driving left the roadway and struck a tree. Howard was not using a seat belt at the time of the crash, was ejected and pronounced deceased at the scene. The crash occurred on Bullock County 37 near Salem Road, approximately 16 miles west of Union Springs, in Bullock County. Nothing further is available as Troopers with the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s (ALEA) Highway Patrol Division continue to investigate.
