The Alabama State Games, in partnership with the AHSAA Radio Network , announces The Gold Standard Student-Athlete of the Week. Each week a student-athlete from throughout the state will be chosen exemplifying the GOLD STANDARD.

They said: Karsyn is a born Student Athlete. She puts her studies above anything else. She challenges herself with college courses as well as being involved in multiple clubs on and off campus. She works hard at her sport and will put in the effort needed to maintain her skills. She leads by example in the classroom along with tutoring other teammates to help them perform as well.

WHAT ARE THE ALABAMA STATE GAMES?
The Alabama State Games is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization established in 1982 at the request of the U.S. Olympic Committee. Since 1982, the Alabama State Games has grown into the state’s largest annual multi-sport competition with nearly 5,000 athletes (of all ages and abilities) competing in 20-plus sports. The core beliefs are academic excellence, healthy lifestyle choices and good citizenship. We have awarded over $363,000 in academic scholarships through our Scholarship Initiative Program. We believe anyone and everyone can be the GOLD STANDARD.
