The freshly elected council members of Pine Level were sworn in last December, but now one of them is facing legal issues after an arrest Thursday.

Noell Wade Moore was arrested on one count of third-degree assault and was bailed out shortly after being booked into the Autauga County Metro Jail.

“Moore was arrested by an ALEA Trooper. We assisted the Troopers, and he was transported to the Autauga Metro Jail. The assault was on a civilian, and that’s all I know at this time,” Autauga County Sheriff Mark Harrell said, stressing it is not his department’s investigation.

Documents stated that Moore gave the male victim abrasions to his head and face but further details on how the incident began are not yet available.

Pine Level Mayor Zachary Bigley confirmed that it was Moore that was arrested Thursday afternoon and offered no further comment at this time.

We were able to contact Moore, but he said he had no comment at this time.
