Jason Britt seeks the office of Probate Judge of Elmore County

From the Jason Britt

Campaign for Elmore County Probate Judge

Jason Britt, a longtime resident of Elmore County and local practicing attorney, is seeking the office of Probate Judge of Elmore County. Currently, the probate court has three primary functions: judicial, custodian of public records [real estate documentation, marriage documentation, and notary public documentation], and serves as the county’s chief election officer. Out of all these functions, the office’s judicial function is its most important role because it is the most requested service of the court. Jason is confident that he can effectively serve the citizens of Elmore County because he has the education, experience, and temperament for this position.

Education

Jason was raised in Elmore County and educated in the Elmore County Public School system. After graduating from Wetumpka High School, Jason received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree with an emphasis in Accounting from the University of West Alabama, his Juris Doctor degree from Faulkner University’s Thomas Goode Jones School of Law, and his Master of Laws (LL.M) degree in Taxation, magna cum laude, from the University of Alabama School of Law.

Experience

As a practicing attorney, most of Jason’s law practice is devoted to probate law, allowing him to obtain in-depth knowledge of the subject matter. Elmore County needs someone experienced who can step into this position and make a seamless transition from one administration to the next. Jason is the only candidate with extensive legal experience in the probate court system. Additionally, Jason is the only candidate with actual judicial experience because he currently serves as Special Probate Judge for Elmore County. He stands ready on day one to accept and execute the duties of this office.

Temperament

This position requires someone who can handle stressful and often emotional situations while maintaining a calm demeanor. Additionally, it requires someone who can apply emotional intelligence, compassion, and flexibility to situations to help people resolve their problems. Jason has done this his entire career and will use those same resolution techniques in the cases before him.

Jason’s education, well-rounded experience, and temperament set him apart. This venue will allow him to use his talents to serve the citizens of Elmore County and make it a better place for his family and yours.   Jason believes he is the right choice for the future of Elmore County. He humbly asks for your vote and support during the primary election on Tuesday, March 5th.
