Billingsley, AL – Get ready to tantalize your taste buds and support a great cause at the 2nd Annual Wild Game Cookoff hosted by the Billingsley Volunteer Fire Department (BVFD)! This exciting event, sponsored by Life Point Community Church, will take place on Saturday, February 24th, 2024, and promises a fun-filled day of delicious food, friendly competition, and community spirit.
Calling all culinary contenders! Teams of three are invited to showcase their wild game grilling expertise. Whether you’re a seasoned pitmaster or a budding barbecue enthusiast, this cookoff is your chance to win bragging rights and the coveted Grand Champion trophy. Categories include:
Best Overall Wild Game Dish
Most Creative Wild Game Dish
Spirit Award
People’s Choice Award
Public tasting kicks off at 5:00 PM, where attendees can indulge in the diverse flavors of wild game creations for a $15 entry fee. (There will be plenty of non-game foods to try as well.)
