The Front Porch Grill in their new location off of Deatsville Highway in Millbrook hosted a breakfast with Santa, with special guests the Grinch and other members from the North Pole and Whoville Saturday morning.

The event kicked off at 7 a.m. for the annual breakfast with Santa where Santa, Mrs. Claus, Mr. Grinch and Cindy Lou Who arrived in style by a Millbrook fire truck. The event went from 7-10 a.m. where Santa and Mrs. Claus, Mr. Grinch and Ms. Cindy Lou perused the restaurant and got a much needed break from the NorthPole and Whoville.

“This is our fifth or sixth year doing breakfast with Santa and it’s our way to give  back to the community and to the kids. It’s just our way of telling everybody thank you, celebrating the season and just having fun with our customers,” Owner of Front Porch Grill Marty Bean said.

Free pancakes and sausage were available for the kids that attended and of course the men of the hour, Santa and the Grinch were available for the kids to chat with throughout breakfast.

Prizes were drawn from two 48 inch stockings, one for a girl and one for a boy in attendance. There was also a six foot stocking that went to a grand prize winner during the event.

Last year, over 400 people attended the breakfast event. While numbers are not known at this time, Bean stated that he hoped that this year’s turnout would have even higher numbers than last year with the new location and additional parking that came with the move.

The new location for Front Porch Grill is able to accommodate over 150 people whereas their previous location could only accommodate 90 individuals seated,  Bean confirmed.

Smiles were wide and bright and tummies were full and happy through another year of breakfast with Santa and friends.
