American Legion Post 133 of Millbrook Gives wonderful donation to Operation Blue Santa

Elmore/Autauga News

Millbrook Police Chief P.K. Johnson expressed his deep appreciation for a very generous donation to Operation Blue Santa.

This week, the American Legion Post 133 stopped by the police department with a big gift of toys and a monetary donation. These toys and funds will be used to ensure that area children in need have Christmas presents this year.

“I want to give a huge thank you to American Legion Post 133, who were joined by the Punishers LEMC Three Rivers Chapter members, in delivered boxes and bags full of toys, . These were donated to the MIllbrook Police Department in support of our Operation Blue Santa project. In addition to that wonderful gesture, Post 133 Commander Boswell presented a check for $1000 to the department, which were proceeds raised by Post 133 members, also in support of Operation Blue Santa. Thanks to the generosity of organizations like this, other local civic organizations, local businesses and our community, a lot of children in our community, who otherwise may not have had something underneath their Christmas tree, now will on Christmas morning. We are beyond blessed to have organizations and people like each of you wonderful people that support us in our efforts to give back to our community. On behalf of the officers and staff of the MIllbrook Police Department, may each of you and your families have a Merry Christmas. Thank you and God Bless.”
