Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation Awards Billingsley Volunteer Fire Department With a $32,460 Grant

Grant is part of more than $79 million given by Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation to support safety across the U.S.

Billingsley, Ala. – Billingsley Volunteer Fire Department is now better equipped to keep community members safe thanks to a grant from the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation. The $32,460grant will be used to purchase Hurst extrication tools, fulfilling a critical need within the department.

“On behalf of the Billingsley Volunteer Fire Department and its members, I want to thank the Firehouse Subs Public Safety Foundation and our local Firehouse Subs in Prattville” said Chief Jared Bonebrake. “We take great pride in providing lifesaving support to our community and these funds will allow us to advance our abilities.”

The new Hurst extrication tools will be used during vehicle or structural extrications and will give us quicker and more portable access to trapped victims. Having the necessary equipment on handat the right time can make all the difference.
