Tallassee Alabama Police Department
On 9/20/23, at approximately 1754 hours, the Tallassee Police Department was dispatched to the 100 block of Washington Street in reference to a subject shot.
Officers arrived on scene at 1757 and were able to locate the victim. Emergency medical aid was administered until Haynes medics arrived. The victim succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced deceased.
The crime scene was processed, multiple witnesses were interviewed, a suspect was developed, and a warrant was obtained. The investigation is still on-going. The Tallassee Police Department would like to thank the Tallapoosa County Sheriff’s Dept, The Eclectic Police Dept, the Tuskegee Police Dept, the Macon County Sheriff’s Dept, and the US Marshals Task Force for their assistance.
