The Prattville Police Department notified Central Alabama CrimeStoppers and advised they have identified the suspect involved in a Criminal Possession of a Forged Instrument investigation.
On August 24, 2023, Prattville Police Investigators released a photo of an unknown subject wanted for criminal possession of a forged instrument that occurred, on Friday, August 18, 2023, at about 2:40 p.m. at a financial institution located on Main Street, Prattville, Alabama. Investigators say the pictured suspect entered the business and attempted to cash a counterfeit check with what appeared to be a stolen ID.
An anonymous tipster contacted CrimeStoppers and provided information that helped investigators identify the suspect. Investigators say this information was greatly appreciated and was useful in the investigation.
CrimeStoppers would like to thank the anonymous tipster for coming forward and give kudos to the media and public for helping get the word out about this case.
Due to this being an ongoing investigation, investigators are not releasing the suspect’s name at this time. There are no other details available for release at this time.
